Coaches are the lifeblood that keeps our program alive. Every step in our progress as a league is owed in great part to the parent volunteers who choose to get involved, stay involved and grow their teams. To those who love to spend time with their kids and their kids’ friends, and who value the life lessons that baseball teaches, we proudly invite you to get involved.
Coaching is about giving kids confidence by teaching them a game that literally changes lives.
Coaching is hauling the gear bag around like a custodian, because you are one.

We need you! Our program operates entirely on our volunteer base but nowhere is that needed more than in the Coaching staff.
Our season will be starting sooner than you know and if we have to close registration due to low turnout for coaches, we need to know now. If you think you may be interested, please register. How do I change my email address?"

The answer to all the above frequently asked questions is that your contact information is incorrect or outdated. You will need to update your or your family's, contact information.
First, it's important to understand that as a member on our site, you have full control to change any/all of your contact information without the need to contact anyone. To change your personal contact information, as well as, to set up and control your notifications, follow these simple steps
Select the "Member Log In Portal" link on left hand menu
For existing users, enter your email address and password and you'll be logged into the windsorbaseball.org site. (Skip to Step #4)
If you have forgotten your password or if this is your first visit, enter your email address only and click 'Submit'. A temporary password will be emailed to you. (some providers may block this email - you may need to check your Spam folder) You can then log back in at which time you will have the option to change your password.
If you are a returning member but your email address does not work, simply email us at:
and we can advise you of the last email address we have in our system.
Once you've logged in to our site, you can now set or change your preferences such as text messaging, e-mail, notification settings for games reminders, pubic/private/roster viewing of your info (please use Roster if not a coach), etc. This screen also links to all members of your family as well. You can change their information as well.
On the player profile, we recommend that both parents (if applicable) emails be listed. Simply type a semi-colon between.
As we've mentioned, the main thing we like about our website is that it makes it easier to communicate with our members. During the season, we send out emails to notify you of upcoming events, like Opening Day as well as notices about game changes.
When you register, you will have the option to activate this feature. Just provide your cell phone number and service provider. We strongly recommend you provide this information for each player and parent in your family profile. This will ensure you receive notices, such as game or practice changes or other late notice items such as rain delay or field changes. It happens!!
Phones can be categorized as: Public, Private or Roster. We need at least 1 number to be marked Roster. This number will appear on your team page and will not be visible to anyone other than your team families. If you are going to be a Coach, please mark your primary contact number as Public. This will allow other coaches to contact you about scrimmages, changing practice dates, etc. Any numbers marked Private will not be viewable by anyone except the website Administrator/President.
Password:Since many families use one common email, we ask that each adult establish their own password. This will help to distinguish each of you in our system.
Registration for the 2018 season begins today and will continue until Jan. 31st. Simply go to "Register Online" to begin the process. You will be asked to upload a copy of your child's birth certificate, if you have not already done so, during the process so please have scan ready (.pdf or .jpeg format).
Should we experience a shortage of volunteer coaches, we will use the registration date to establish a 'wait list' so the earlier you register, the better.
Notice will be posted regarding upcoming assessments once a date/time has been selected. Assessments are only for players ages 9-12 and are used to help us form equitable teams and to place players in the appropriate level.
Please advise your neighbors who may be new to Windsor as this message is being sent to current/returning members.
The first board meeting for the 2018 season will begin immediately after election of members.
Key positions up for assignment include:
Player Rep - oversees a specific player level which typcally consists of team formation, player movement,
Secretary - responsible for preparation of Agenda, send to Board members, takes minutes at meetings, book meeting room, update league calendar of all events
Equipment - purchase equipment for all teams (not uniforms)
Field Maintenance - work with Coaches to ensure field maintenance is followed, assist as needed
"At Large" positions that do not require you to be a Board member:

Concessions - this can be a shared job; we have a small snack shack at Mattie and a permanent one at Kaiser. Purchase/receive food, work with volunteers to work weekday/weekends
Social Media - post/maintain Facebook site (take/post pictures from games, specifically the 12's Classic and end of season Championship games)
Sponsorship Coordinator: faciliate sponsor donations, work with our Uniform Coordinator to ensure sponsor names/logos are correct,
Photo Day Coordinator - assist in handing out packets to teams, be at field on Photo Day to work with photo staff and league members to answer any questions, receive photos, coordinate photo pickup at fields
All Stars Coordinators:
Uniforms/SWAG: place orders for all teams, work with Uniform coordinator for SWAG (souvenir) orders, receive funds for any additional orders, deliver to teams;
Tournament: this person will work with each teams "Team Parent" to gather all documentation for placement in Tournament Binder for review by Babe Ruth officials prior to play.

Beginning in 2018, all bats used in play must meet the new rules governing approved bats.
This logo MUST appear on the handle of your bat or a green sticker version will be on the barrel of the bat.
"It is the policy of Babe Ruth League, Inc. to assure the safety of all participants. Accordingly, Babe Ruth League, Inc. reserves the right to ban any equipment, including bats, at any time, including during the season, based upon a change of existing policy and/or upon new information made available to Babe Ruth League, Inc."

"This bench was inspired by, and in honor, of two amazing men: Mark Hopkins and Kevin Mendoza . They were dads, husbands, friends, coaches and volunteers. They are what makes Windsor so great. Windsor is a community of families. Our community is special with amazing families with great family values. This bench represents that in appreciation of all volunteers.
So take a moment. Sit on the bench and reflect on a moment in time of what baseball meant to you and remember.
Little League baseball started by a volunteer with a dream; one man, Carl Stotz. This man had perseverance. He went to 54 businesses asking for sponsorship before he got one that said, “yes.” That business said “I will do it for the kids.” Carl also used $40 of his own money to start this dream which doesn’t sound like a lot of money but back in 1939, that was half his monthly income and you know there was a Mom that had to “OK” that decision. That’s confidence.
Players, take time to thank our volunteers. The Moms and Dads that man the snack shack, the brothers that Umpire games and the Dads that coach.

It’s important to recognize and celebrate our volunteers because without them none of this would be possible and someday, the baseball players of today will be the volunteers of tomorrow; carrying on baseball traditions and all that it teaches us.
