President'sMessage

Welcome to our site.  It's hard to believe that another season is just around the corner. We are underway planning for the upcoming season and look forward to your involvement to make this season successful.

Typically, a Board member resigns once their child reaches the age when they move on to the next level.  We lost 2 members this year but we have been very fortunate to gain 6 new members. These members have committed themselves to continue our goal of providing the children in our league the opportunity for success, to learn about teamwork, respect, self-discipline and good sportsmanship while teaching baseball concepts and an appreciation for the game.

Last season, in our ongoing effort to improve our program, we instituted a reworking of the Minors division by adding another level.  By many accounts, the restructuring of players based primarily on age/grade and thus allowing us to better use our fields, was a success.  While not perfect, we anticipate fewer issues this year.

Last season, we saw the fulfillment of our raffle fundraiser from 2010 that raised over $16,000 with the installation of 3 scoreboards at Kaiser Park. Kudos and thanks to the Town of Windsor staff and to WBE for working together to get them up and running by opening day.

As always, thanks are given to the many volunteers who step up to the plate to make our program work: managers, coaches, team parents, umpires and many others who work behind the scenes. If you haven't taken the time to volunteer, please think about doing so this season. Help deliver on the goal of providing a positive and rewarding experience to our kids.

Please feel free to speak to any Board member, at any time, about anything.  Issues or comments can be rapidly addressed with open communication; especially with your child's coach(es). Let's continue to provide a terrific, positive environment at the ballpark to help our kids learn and grow.

Again, I welcome you to the 2013 season.  Let's PLAY BALL!!!

Best regards,

Maryann Alexander
